I should always have at least one suit case packed at all times, for my life is the life of a traveler. Just look at the soles of my shoes if you think I'm a liar.

It's been almost 2 years now that I have been living in Berlin with my husband Bill. It has been an amazing experience thus far. I believe living abroad has been, and is, such a great learning experience. It really is incredible to live in such a vibrant city, surrounded by so much history and beautiful architecture. Immersing myself into the culture has been trying at times, but I've enjoyed the struggle. My Deutsch skills are getting better every day and that in itself is pretty awesome. Every day is a new learning experience, the second I step out my door. Berlin has such a diverse population of people, especially in the summer months, that I not only learn more about Deutschland every day, but other countries and their cultures as well. One place people love visit when they come here is Museum Island, especially on rainy days. Check out the link I've listed below. It's a great way to take in the history and culture of the city.                                                                http://www.aviewoncities.com/berlin/museumisland.htm

The You Tube video below is not my own, but one I enjoy. It shows you a bit of Berlin, the people, some sites and sounds in the city, which I enjoyed. Hopefully you will too.

I love photography and film making. It helps show the world how each of us sees things differently. The above video is a little photo slide I put together of photos I've taken around Berlin.

Also, if you ever plan to study Deutsch abroad, I wouldn't recommend the DID Institute. I preferred the Volkshochschule in Neukölln near Hermanplatz. It's only 100 Euros for an entire month and if you're so lucky as to get Herr Staple as your Lehrer, then you'll know  more than your ABC's and 123's in no time. :)

Some local Newspapers I usually look to for local news, new cultural events going on, etc., are listed below...

The photos taken above are from last December in 2010. My husband and I spent Christmas in Praha. It is such a beautiful town during Christmas time. It felt as if we were inside a giant snow globe. The architecture is so old, and quite breathtaking. I had been to Praha one other time when I was ten years old, but experiencing the city as an adult I must say was much more fun, and I think this time around I was more appreciative of everything surrounding me.
