A look into my life thus far...
My name is Abigail and I am the youngest of five siblings. I have 3 older brothers and 1 older sister. I was born and raised in upstate New York. Around the time that I was 11 years old, my father decided that it would be a good experience for us to live abroad, and had taken a job in Maadi, Egypt in order to make that happen. We lived there for about 2 years before moving to Utah. It was an amazing experience and it gave me a whole new perspective on life and the world that we lived in. Moving West took some time to get used to, but with the mountains right at your back door, and a slogan of "The Greatest Snow on Earth", and the quote by John Muirs, "The mountains are calling and I must go." how could you not fall in love with Utah and the great outdoors. In August of 2010 I moved to Berlin, Deutschland. During my time there I studied German, volunteered at a local British Pony Club, took on the roll as team photographer for the Berliner Hockey Club Lacrosse team, and worked on a documentary about the BHC's journey to winning the German Championship, which took about 3 years to capture. I also did a lot of freelance work, photographing box lacrosse events, and other local lacrosse tournaments (i.e. Berlin Open), and was the team photographer for the Czech National Team in the FIL World Lacrosse games in Denver 2014. Upon completion of my A.S. Degree from Salt Lake Community College, and my return to the United States, I decided to transfer to the University of Utah and complete my degree. It was through my photography and film exploration, that I came to realize how much I enjoyed working with a sports team. Currently, I am finishing my B.S. in Community Recreation and Sports Management and hope to find a career within the sports industry where I can utilize my skills set.
I love collecting books, and someday I'll fill my walls with them. Some of the books I've read in the last year are...
